Universal Studios

While we were in Orlando this last weekend, we also spent a day at Universal Studios, it was a lot of fun, here are some of the pictures we took. (Harry Potter rides, the Jurassic Park river adventure ride, the spiderman 3D ride...etc)

It was really hard trying to climb this thing, hahaha

The Harry Potter ride made us really motion sick. So we had to take a break afterwards hahaha

Orlando FL

Last week, Shem finished his first semester of CRNA school successfully. We're all really proud of him! Finally, he has a little break from studying and is able to relax. We decided to go to Orlando for a couple of days, which is about a 3-hour drive, and here are some of the pictures we took. This is a picture of the beautiful Orlando Florida LDS Temple, built 1994. The weather was also really nice while we were there.

Happy Thanksgiving

This was our first Thanksgiving holiday in Florida. It was kind of strange having a thanksgiving day without the cold and the snow, but we sure enjoyed the warm weather. In the morning we went kayaking with some of our new friends. We went to a place just a little bit south, called Isles of Capri. There are mangroves and stretches of the gulf of Mexico and you can kayak around the little mangrove islands. It was beautiful, the weather was nice and there was a lot of wildlife to see. We saw different kinds of birds, fish, dolphins, sting rays, clams... We kayaked to a little island with a beautiful white sand beach where we stopped to take a break. We took some pictures there.

We were standing on this beach and then Shem saw with the binoculars, that a bunch of people were standing on this sandbar in the middle of the water, collecting "something" and had bags full of it. So Shem and some of our friends went kayaking to the sandbar to check it out. When they got there, the other people had left, and all they could find was this one huge clam. We found out that was what the people had been collecting, was bags full of clams, hahaha So Shem actually brought home this one clam that he wanted to try to cook for thanksgiving. We ended up returning the poor little clam into the ocean later that night, hahahahaha

We had a delicious dinner at our friends house with some other friends and also our friend's parents. We ate turkey, ham, potatoes, sweet potatoes, home-made rolls, corn, green bean casserole, and yummy desserts, including an gigantic coconut cream pie. Check out the picture below. We ate a lot!!

At the end of the day, we were so tired, but we had a lot of fun. We are so grateful for so many blessings in our life, especially our families and friends whom we love and appreciate very much. You are always in our minds and hearts. :D Happy Thanksgiving!!!

Our new temporary home, Florida!

This last August we moved to Naples Florida, so Shem can attend graduate school to become a Nurse Anesthetist or CRNA. We are happy to be moving along with our lives and pursuing our goals. Although it was weird to leave Utah after living there for so long, we are happy to move to the so-called "sunshine state" and enjoy some warm weather. We are getting used to being in a new place and we are doing good. The first couple of weeks here we went to the beach a lot, went fishing and sight-seeing. Now we are busy with school and work and it's hard to do fun stuff. But we try. I'm working full time in a local hospital that is just 5 minutes away. I work as a nurse in the surgical recovery unit(PACU). We live in a cute two-bedroom condo with a swimming pool and a gym. We're located close to school, work and shopping areas. In our ward, there's at least 10 other guys that are going to school with Shem. It is really nice to get to know them and their families. Here are some pictures of our first few weeks in Florida.

Fishing at Strawberry Reservoir

This last weekend we headed up to the Strawberry Reservoir for a fun day of fishing. When we arrived there it was about 6:30 am and Shem took really good pictures of this beautiful sunrise.




It was our first time fishing in Utah; and actually my first time fresh water fishing. Our really good friend Linden, took me & Shem fishing and showed us some really cool exclusive fishing spots. We ended up catching a lot of rainbow trout.



We probably spent about 7 hrs fishing, but it went by really fast. We had so much fun. The place was beautiful. On the next day, we actually cooked and ate the fish that we caught. They were pretty tasty. We can't wait to go fishing again.

The Lonestar Concert

Shem & I recently had a little concert date. We went to see the Lonestar Concert. It was a really fun night out. It was at an outdoor theater and the weather was fantastic. Lonestar is a country group that used to be really popular a few years ago.


One of their hit songs was the song "Amazed". When Shem and I were in school and we started dating, Shem had that song as his ringtone and that's why we really like it. We were also lucky to have reserved seats really close to the stage. It was really fun!

Wow!!! It has been 8 months since we got married. Time has gone by so fast!!! We are still working as nurses in Provo Utah, at the Utah Valley Regional Medical Center, and preparing to go to graduate school. We are excited about this time in our lives. We took this picture in our recent trip to El Paso, Texas, on the weekend of my sister's wedding. It was a beautiful wedding. We were able to see a lot of my family members that I hadn't seen in a while. We really enjoyed our weekend getaway and are now back to real life and back to work... until our next adventure.
