During Shem's break from school we also went to the beach a few times here in Florida. The ocean was a little too cold to go swimming, but we went fishing instead. I also like to collect a lot of shells and Florida's beaches have lots of sea shells, it's pretty cool.
This is called a sheepshead, it actually grows a lot bigger and has really ugly teeth (like a cow's teeth) hahahaha they're kind of ugly and scary. Shem caught a bigger one of these the next day and we brought it home.
This other fish is called a sea bass, we also brought it home and cooked it. Check it out. It is my favorite fish to eat so far. It's really mild and tasty.
Shem's love of fishing made him take the time to build these awesome sand spikes, to hold his fishing poles on the sand. Whenever Shem wants something, he really works hard to obtain it. He's awesome.
We went on a little tour boat ride through the everglade mangroves. During this boat ride we saw manatees, dolphins, alligators and lots of different birds. We also learned about the different kinds of mangrove trees that exist here in Florida. It was very relaxing and fun.
